Born in Tbilisi. In 1993, he graduated from the Moscow Ballet School (Igor Uksusnikov's class) and joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company where was coached by Boris Akimov.

His repertory includes: The Nutcracker Prince, The Spanish and French Doll, The Devil (The Nutcracker), The Fool and Friend to the Prince (Swan Lake), the pas de deux and the pas d'action (Giselle), The Gig (Don Quixote), Coral (The Humbacked Horse by Androsov), pas d'action (La Fille du Pharaon by Lacotte), pas de six (The Taming of the Shrew, choreography by Kranko), solo parts in Agon and Symphony in C, (choreography by Balanchine), Passacaille (by Petit); Frollo (Notre-Dame de Paris by Petit), The Classical Dancer (The Bright Stream by Ratmansky), Colas and Alain (La Fille mal gardee, choreography by Ashton), Romeo (Romeo and Juliet, by Donnellan and Poklitaru). Starred in the New Year premieres (1998) at the Bolshoi theatre. He created role of The Poet (Insomnia by A. Petukhov, 1999).
