Born in Perth, Kevin Jackson commenced his dance training at the age of seven at the Shirley Farrell Academy of Dance. In 2002, he graduated from The Australian Ballet School; he joined The Australian Ballet in 2003 and was promoted to Principal artist in 2010. In his time with the company, he has performed many lead roles in both classical and contemporary works by choreographers including John Neumeier, Alexei Ratmansky, Wayne McGregor, Jiří Kylián and Graeme Murphy.
His repertoire includesVaslav Nijinsky in John Neumeier's Nijinsky, Prince Désiré in David McAllister's The Sleeping Beauty, Albrecht in Maina Gielgud’s Giselle, Oberon in Sir Frederick Ashton’s The Dream, Onegin and Lenksy in John Cranko’s Onegin, des Grieux in Sir KennethMacMillan’s Manon, Prince Siegfried in Graeme Murphy’s Swan Lake, Romeo in Graeme Murphy's Romeo & Juliet, Jerome Robbins’ A Suite of Dances, and George Balanchine’s Apollo.

Jackson holds a Vocational Graduate Diploma in Elite Dance Instruction from The Australian Ballet School, and has a keen interest in teaching the next generation of dancers.

His awards include the Telstra Ballet Dancer Award (2008) andKhitercs Hirai Foundation Scholarship (2007).He has created several choreographic works.His guest appearances include the Prince in Stanton Welch's The Nutcracker, Houston Ballet (2016); De Grieux in Kenneth MacMillan's Manon, American Ballet Theatre (exchange artist) (2014);and Lucas Jervies' Human/Abstract, JACK Productions (2010).
