Denis Rodkin was born in Moscow. He graduated from Ballet School Gzel and then joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company where he started to rehearse with Nikolai Tsiskaridze. Now his master-repetiteur is Yuri Vladimirov. He also entered the Moscow Choreographic Academy as a ballet teacher in 2013.

His repertoire includes: Little Cont Cherry (Cipollino), The Nutcracker-Prince (Nutcracker), Fisherman and Lord Wilson/Taor (La Fille du Pharaon), Jean de Brienne (Raimonda), Bluebird (The Sleeping Beauty), Florent (La Esmeralda), Paris (Romeo and Julie), Antoine Mistral (The Flames of Paris), Artynov (Anyuta), Evil Genus and Prince Siegfried (Swan Lake), title roles in Spartacus and Onegin, Cont Kurbsky (Ivan the Terrible), Ferkhad (Legend of Love), Gaston and Armand Duval (Lady of the Camellias), Prince Frederici and Marco Spada (Marco Spada). And also solo roles in Class Concert, The Symphony of Psalms, Le Corsaire, Serenade, La Fille mal gardée, Don Quixote, Jewels (Diamonds).

In 2014 he appeared in Mariinski Theatrte as Don Jose in Carmen Suite with Svetlana Zakharova (Gala to honor of Olga Moiseeva), Mariinski Ballet Festival as Zigfrid (Swan Lake), Athens Festival as Spartacus (Theatre of Herodes Atticus, Acropolis in Athens), in Final Ceremony of the Olympic Games in Sochi (as a Golden Slave in Shekherazada). Also he tours with the Bolshoi ballet in many countries of the world.
