Benois de la Danse nominee

Born in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2012 and 2014, he received several awards at the South African International Competition. He made his choreographic debut in 2014 with the Cape Dance Company, where he also performed in West Side Story and created two works: Visceral and The Rite of Passage.

In 2015, he joined Ballet Black, earning numerous awards and nominations, including a Laurence Olivier Award for INGOMA. He was honored with the Young South African Artist award at the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees for his solo work.
He created several pieces for the English National Ballet's Emerging Dancer competition (2018, 2020), for British performer Stormzy (Glastonbury, 2019), and was commissioned by Cape Town Opera and Cape Town City Ballet to compose Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater.

He was commissioned by The Grange Festival to produce The Rift (2020) and by Fall For Dance North to create My Mother’s Son, performed by him and his brother Sifiso November (2023).

He has collaborated with The Washington Ballet, The Royal Ballet (UK), Northern Ballet (UK), Lucerne Theatre of Dance (Switzerland), Cape Town City Ballet, Zurich Ballet (Switzerland), and Charlotte Ballet (USA).

He was nominated for Best Lead Performer at the Black British Theatre Awards (2022) and for Best Classical Choreography at the Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards. His work The Waiting Game won the award for Best Choreography (2023).
