Following his solo performance Hide Your Joy!, the dancer founded the company Illico (2000). Working in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, he was a guest artist at Théâtre Vivat d’Armentières (2002–2004) and later at the Choreographic Development Center in Lille (2005–2011). In 2012, he was appointed director of the National Dance Center of Tours, for which he created 18 choreographic works.

He has also performed with the Liaoning National Ballet in China (2001), Grupo Tapias in Brazil (2009), for Lithuanian dancer and choreographer Laura Juodkaite (2009), commissioned by the MODAFE Festival in Seoul (2012), the Panthera Troupe in Kazan (2015), and for Frontier Danceland, Singapore (2017).

He released a solo album Parfois le corps n'a pas de coeur (2010) commissioned by the Avignon Festival. His production of Les Fêtes de L’Hymen to the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau was shown at the Opera Bastille in Paris (2017) and at the Britten Theatre in London.

His works have been staged over 1,100 times in France, Great Britain, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, Ecuador, Finland, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, the Netherlands, Peru, Russia, South Korea, Switzerland, and Taiwan.

He has taught at the National Dance Center in Pantheon and Leon, the Paris National Conservatory, in Porto and Istres. Since 2018, he has been involved in a cross-exchange project with artists from the French Overseas Territories and Caribbean countries, and also works as a choreographer in French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe and Cuba.

Winner of the SACD Choreography Award (Société des auteurs choreographiques et dramatiques), (2014). Knight of the Order of Arts and Literature of France (2017). Grand Prix for the best performance of the year L'envahissement de l'être (danse avec Des) (2023) from the Professional Union of Theater, Music and Dance Critics.
