He was born in 1975 in Gotha, German. He studed in Palucca School, Dresden and than at The School of The Hamburg Ballet. His main teachers were Hans Joachim Metz, Ralf Arndt, German Pribylow, Anatoli Nisnevich, Kevin Haigen. He came to Hamburg Ballet in 1994, became f Soloist in 1998, and Principal in 2004.
