Carlos Gallardo is a native of Buenos Aires.

Since 1980 he has designed set and costumes for more than 30 of Mauricio Wainrot`s ballets including A Streetcar Named Desire, Anne Frank, Rite of Spring, Symphony of Psalms, The Eight Seasons, Carmina Burana and Firebird. He has also designed other works for companies around the world such as English National Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders, Juilliard Dance Ensemble of New York, Hannover Opera, National Ballet of Mexico, Goteborg Opera, Ballet Florida, The Cincinnati Ballet, Ballet of the Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires, National Ballet of Chile and More.

In 2007 he participate in the Quadrennial of Prague with his Medea╢s set designs.

Exhibitions of his work have been shown in the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, Museum Carrillo gil of Mexico, Museum of the Americas of Washington, Museum of Fine Arts of Santiago de Chile and at international art fairs such as Chicago Art Fair, Basel Art Fair, ARCO Art Fair of Madrid, FIAC of Paris, La Havanna Biennial and in art galleries in Buenos Aires, Amsterdam, Santiago, Mexico City, Brussels, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and San Francisco.

Carlos Gallardo╢s latest exhibitions were held at the Museum of Fine arts of Buenos Aires, and at the Musee d╢Art Contemporain de Nice, France.
