Wayne McGregor, British choreographer, studied ballet at Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds and the Jose Limon School, New-York.

His performances were staged in cooperation and upon the request from Random Dance Company that is permanently located the roof of the Saddlers Wells Theatre in London.

He has made over thirty works including Amu, Nemesis and Ata Xia. He has created works for The Royal Ballet — Chroma, Engram, Qualia, Symbiont(s), NDT-1 — Skindex, Stuttgart Ballet, ENB, San Francisco Ballet and Ramber Dance Company.

He has staged many things at other dance companies of Great Britain as well as in Melbourne, Milan, Paris, Hanover.

He has worked at such opera houses as La Scala, Milan [Dido and Aeneas), Lyric Opera of Chicago {The Midsummer Marriage), Scottish Opera, ENO, ETO and Grange Park Opera. His theatre credits include The Woman in White (London, Broadway) and production sat The Old Vic, NT, Royal Court and with the Peter Hall Company. He has worked on Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire (Warner Bros) and for Channel 4, BBC TV and Arte.

He has also stage opera and drama performances, including Anthony and Cleopatre (Royal National Theatre), Salomea (British National Opera), Le Nozze di Figaro and Orpheus and Euridice (Scottish National Opera).

Wayne McGregor has been awarded many dance prizes, including prizes by critics, by an art foundation, a bank and independent prizes. His awards include Time Out awards (2001,2003), IMZ Dance Screen Award (2002) and a Laurence Olivier Award (2004).

His plans include a new work for Paris Opera Ballet and from December 1,2006, he is a Resident Choreographer with The Royal Ballet.

He has been nominated at the International Dance Prize Benois de la Danse in 2002 for the title role in Eon, Random Dance Company.
