Upon graduation from the A. Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy (Natalia Dudinskaya▓s class) in 1991 she joined the Mariinsky Ballet company. In 1995 she was promoted to a soloist and then to a principal dancer.

Her repertoire includes: Odette-Odile (Swan Lake), Giselle, Mirta (Giselle), Nikia (La Bayadere), Medora (Corsaire), the Lilac Fairy (Sleeping Beauty), Raymonda, Clemanse (Raymonda), Kitti (Anna Karenina), Zarema (The Fountain of Bakhchisaray), Shekherezade (Zobeide), Jewels, Le Jeune homme et la mort (Girl), Souns of Empty Pages (by J. Neumeier), The Fairy▓s Kiss and others. She was invited as a guest artist to dance Odette-Odile in the Tatro Colon in Buenos Aires.

Uliana Lopatkina is the Winner of the State Award of Russia. Laureate of Benois de la Danse Prize, Isadora Duncan Dance Award, “Golden Sophite“, “Baltika“, “Golden Mask“. Laureate of „London Critics and Journalists” Award. Laureate of „People of our City” award in nomination „ The Ballet Soloist of the Year”.
