June 26, 2024, The Bolshoi Theatre
On June 26th, stars of the world’s leading ballet companies took the stage. Representing the Bolshoi Theatre were: Svetlana Zakharova, Artemiy Belyakov, Evgenia Obraztsova, Artem Ovcharenko, and Denis Rodkin. From the Mariinsky Theatre — Olesya Novikova, Ekaterina Kondaurova, Konstantin Zverev. From the Tokyo Ballet — Akira Akiyama and Arata Miyagawa. From the Liaoning Ballet Troupe — Sun Huixin and Zhang Haidong. The Mikhailovsky Theatre was represented by presented: Irina Perren, Danila Khamzin, and Ivan Zaytsev.
The ballet director of Moscow State Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre, Maksim Sevagin, presented his new work “The King and the Jester,” created specifically for this evening. The Yakobson Ballet Theatre showed a fragment of “Mischievous Couplets” choreographed by Benois laureate Vyacheslav Samodurov.
The special guest of the evening was People’s Artist of Russia, violinist Vadim Repin.
The gala program included works of different styles and directions of the art of dance. The concert took place with the participation of the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.
